Most, if not all newborns in Seychelles wear imported ideologies, characters or designs and at an age where a child’s unconscious learning abilities is at its optimum.
This is a missed opportunity to wear clothing that connects our newborns to our ways of living, customs and the environment around us.
Nekreol dresses your kids to be aware of these and give parents the tool to highlight facts, places, terminologies and stories about Seychelles.
On a personal level the founder of Nekreol conceptualised the business idea after having initially made and designed a few clothing items for her newborn.
Seeing how this made her feel and the joy as well as uniqueness it brought to the family’s interaction with the baby, the soon artworks became a learning opportunity for cultural connection across generations.
